At times I also feel like a couple of Disney dwarves (Grumpy, and his forgotten cousin Achy), but we had some photogenic snow in Prescott on Friday and the following days have been mild and beautiful. Now, there’s just that little matter of washing a bunch of dishes and writing a year-end column….

Marianne: Thanks, in return, for the good wishes. More snow last night, and dark clouds are still hanging around, so the scene out my window looks kind of like a Brueghel painting — if he’d ever painted clumps of pampas grass rearing up in the middle of it all!
