Sophie was sick yesterday, the flu or something , so we sat on the couch, me working on the laptop while she watched Dora the Explorer.
My sympathies! I hope she’ll get better soon.
She’s making a solid, if slow, recover. Thanks. She’s usually a ball of energy, but these last two days has been a bit flat.
Aw, I used to love those ‘flat’ days when my boys were little. They were so much more affectionate, would come and sit with you and lean on you and, if you were lucky, fall asleep against you. Best was thunderstorms when they were tiny, and they’d sit in our laps in the middle of the house, flinching with every clap of thunder, until they conked out from terror and exhaustion. That picture of Sophie, with the pale lips and tired face – gorgeous. I think it rivals the Pink Fairy picture in its appeal. Margo.
