(Minor health problems, shrinking income, messy house, nation in decline, etc., etc., plus only just now finding more good reading, with a column due!) Another pal and I were commiserating by long-distance phone last week, trying to find a few blessings to count along the way, and the "loves company" thing still applies. So, best wishes -- and my column may come in late this time, since I had to scramble after one long book proved to be a disaster, and another that came in the mail just yesterday looks like it may need reviewing *now*.
