The future is coming…

Starting with the January issue of Locus (#600!!!!!), you will be able to either purchase single issues or subscribe in all sorts of nifty digital formats. I was given a sneek peek at the new digital edition format using the December issue as a prototype, which you can see above on my Kindle, and was quite impressed.

I want to give major props to Locus editor-in-chief Liza Groen Trombi.  This was something that has been on our plate for years, and which Charles I know struggled to work out a solution to. It’s been Liza’s baby over the past year, and getting it to this point is a major, major achievement. The future is coming!  You can find out more about Locus Digital Editions here.

The details aren’t public yet, but I think this will be an enormous boon for overseas subscribers especially.

  3. Bloody brilliant. I note that ASIM has started producing pdf copies of their mag, just waiting for Aurealis to do the same.

  4. Jonathan says:

I believe there will be .PDF, .epub, and .mobi versions, though I’m not sure exactly when everything will be rolled out. It’s worth checking for more information as it becomes available.

  5. Peter Nel says:

Overseas subscribers, definitely. I intend to get it.
