Awards Eligibility

Awards season is moving into full swing, with nominations now open for the Nebula Awards, Hugo Awards and World Fantasy Awards.

Having been busy during 2012, I’ve been fortunate enough to help publish a large number of what I think are really excellent works of fiction that I think are worthy of your consideration. It was a year when I edited or co-edited two new collections of Jack Vance fiction, three anthologies, launched an online magazine, appeared on more than 50 podcast episodes, and still acted as reviews editor for Locus.

The anthologies, which I’m incredibly proud of are:

  • Edge of Infinity (Solaris Books)
  • Under My Hat: Tales from the Cauldron (Random House)
  • The Best Science Fiction and Fantasy of the Year: Volume Six (Night Shade Books)

As a guide, fiction in Edge of Infinity is science fiction, in Under My Hat is fantasy, and in Eclipse Online is mixed. I would imagine Under My Hat is eligble for anthology in the WFAs.
