Just as a young man’s thoughts turn to certain things in spring, in these latter days of summer this man’s thoughts turn to Bruce Springsteen and the Wrecking Ball tour, which will be hitting Sydney next week. Due to planning, kindness and good fortune, I’ll be there at Allphones Arena and I’m finally near the point where it’s getting exciting. Flights are booked, hotels arranged, and a very quiet social schedule has been laid out. It should be relaxing and fun.

Eclipse Online: “Loss, with Chalk Diagrams†by E. Lily Yu
March is well progressed and it’s time for the first Eclipse story of the month. This time it’s a brand new short story from Campbell Award winner E. Lily Yu. Yu’s brilliant story “The Cartographer Wasps and the Anarchist Bees” was nominated for the Hugo, Nebula and World Fantasy Awards, and was reprinted in my best of the year. This new story, “Loss, with Chalk Diagrams“, is a moving look at the impact loss can have on our lives.
Episode 137: The rambling continues
Back from Gotham and certain celebrations, Gary joins Jonathan in the Gershwin Room to discuss the newly released Tiptree shortlist, Hugo nominations, and to start what will be a continuing discussing of grimdark fantasy. As always, we hope you enjoy the podcast!
