Episode 164: Notes from just beneath the debt ceiling

In which the Coode Street team philosophize about the nature of science fiction, what the future means, whether it is inevitable or knowable, and what that means for science fiction.

Other matters are also discussed. As always, we hope you enjoy the podcast.

  1. This is one of my favorite Coode Street episodes. The questions of why we read science fiction and whether the future is knowable will be knocking things over in the back corners of my brain all week. It also introduced me to David Marusek, one of whose books I am acquiring as I write this. Thank you!
