Notes From Coode Street

For each of the past five years I have edited a year’s best anthology of one kind or another. One of the jobs that has fallen to me, as part of assembling a selection of the best stories of the year, is to find those stories. They appear in the darndest places, but one of the more common places is in original anthologies. A reader recently highlighted to me that some of those original anthologies can be very hard to find, which made me think it might be worth adding a publicly accessible list of all of the original anthologies that I’ve been able to find. And that’s why this page exists. Here I’ll be listing original science fiction, fantasy, horror and related anthologies that will be published between 1 January 2008 and 31 December 2008. I’ll do everything I can to be as inclusive and all-encompassing as possible.

Publishers/editors: If you have an original anthology scheduled, please drop me an email. I don’t need a lot of information. Just a title, editor, and publication date. I’m happy to link to what information you have, and will provide links to amazon.com etc.
