Neil mentions on his journal that Ursula Le Guin has made comment about the Earthsea miniseries. For those interested, she does so here. At one point she writes, “I can only admire [the producer’s] imagination, but I wish he’d left mine alone”, which seems to sum up her view on a subject she’d tried admirably to avoid. I would only add that I hope, one day, Ged and crew will find their Peter Jackson.

Scott Winnett, a valued Locus person, died Sunday 12 December in Corpus Christi, Texas. I met him several times and he was always a funny, positive, opinionated kind of guy, and I know Marianne liked him very much. He will be missed.
