I saw the three short films based on Waldrop stories that George R.R. Martin financed and produced. He brought them to Worldcon in Seattle. I almost cried when the opening credits for ‘Night of the Cooters’ appeared – Howard would be so pleased. George said that Howard was able to see two of them, and a rough cut of the third, before he died.
