Awards news

The winners of the John W Campbell Memorial Award and Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award have been announced, and I’m delighted with the winners.  Kathy Goonan’s In War Times has won the novel award. The joint winners of the Sturgeon award are “Tideline” by Elizabeth Bear and “Finisterra” by David Moles, both of which are terrific.  Very good choices, indeed.  Congratulations to all three winners and to everyone who was shortlisted!

Very good Sturgeon Awards. I nominated both fot the Hugo ballots and placed them first in their category in the final vote. Two of the best stories in a very fine SF year in short fiction. Congrats to the authors
