A couple things I meant to mention yesterday in the post about the US trip that I perhaps overlooked. First, as mentioned, while in Boston I signed the contracts with the wondrous Sharyn and it’s now officially official. I have sold an original young adult science fiction anthology, tentatively titled The Starry Rift: Tales of New Tomorrows, to Viking Penguin for a mid-2006 publication. I’ve already got a fantastically wonderful group of people writing stories for the book and I can’t wait to see how it all comes out. I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited about a project, and I think it’s going to be really special.

I also got some good news while in Oakland. After an almost disconcertingly brief period of time, I now have a literary agent. I am represented by Howard Morhaim of the Howard Morhaim Literary Agency. Any appropriate queries should go to him at:
