Well, as seems to be traditional, I had a pretty lousy night’s sleep. I’ve been suffering from tinnitus the last few days, which for me usually means either a wax build up or an ear infection. Looks like this one is the latter. My sinuses are clear and I can pop my ears, so I’m not worried about the flight, but did make me a little dizzy. I’ve taken something to clear up the symptoms, which hopefully will get things sorted before the flight in three hours, but you never know.
Anyhow, just had correspondence with some actual Adelaide inhabitants, and suddenly am looking forward to this trip. I think it’ll start with a flight and then a nap, but hopefully will be fun from there.
Blogging caveat: I always say I’ll try to blog about the trip. I know I do, because I’ve gone back and looked at the archives. I also know that typically the post you’re now reading is one of the last ones I’d write before getting home again. I’ll try to do better, but no promises.
Well, email and such is going to be spotty for the next couple days. I’m headed off for the Australian National Science Fiction Convention first thing tomorrow morning, and will be gone till Monday night. Expect some light blogging and occasional email.

Now that I have the blog running I find myself more interested in fooling with the look, than anything else. I’ll mess with it some more, but something LIKE this one could be the go. I want something clean and simple, but geeky too.
Well, all it took was a complete reinstallation of WordPress to overcome whatever the heck went wrong, but we’re back. Of course, now I have to work out whatever new stuff WordPress has added since I first installed 2.0, so it’ll be a slow return to service, but we are back!
And with that, a quick note to let you know that I’ll be in Adelaide from Friday through to Monday for the Australian Natcon. Come see me if you’re interested.
